Beware of the pitfalls of GMO’s

Many of our food crops have been genetically modified (GMO) to make them grow faster, bigger, etc.  One of these modifications is herbicide resistance.  The main crop herbicide works by binding to the trace minerals and making them unavailable to the weed.  If the minerals are unavailable to weeds, they are unavailable to the crops, which makes the plant less disease resistant and, more importantly,  less nutritious.  This is also passed on to the animals that eat feeds made from these crops.  For instance, veterinarians have noticed a great increase in reproductive failures in animals fed these crops, mostly corn and soybeans.
